Carmine Morelli (b. 2000) is a composer whose deep musical affinity began with the piano in early childhood. Rooted in years of dedicated executive practice, his path gradually turned toward a self-directed study of composition, fulfilling an aspiration that had always been central to his artistry.

His compositional voice is characterized by a commitment to tonality, establishing a direct, expressive lineage from the Romantic and Late-Romantic traditions, and culminating in a distinctly Neo-Romantic language. This aesthetic choice allows him to employ a rich harmonic and structural palette, aiming to create works of clarity and emotional depth.

He currently works independently, focusing on compositions that blend refined atmospherics with structural integrity.

Artist Statement

My creative process is fueled by the desire to give material form to the intangible — to bring something entirely new into existence. For me, Art carries no external purpose, but the compositions I commit to the page are deeply imbued with a singular, internal meaning. This significance is inherent to the genesis of the work and remains a private element of the creation itself.

To achieve this materialization, I focus my practice on an intricate search for new and fascinating sonorities within the tonal tradition. My aim is to craft musical environments that are both refined and profoundly meaningful. While the work remains ultimately mine, my hope is simply that the resulting atmosphere may genuinely resonate with those who encounter it.
